Seeking God

Hey Friends,

So, as many of you may know, I’ve been going through a lot lately, but then again, who hasn’t? Part of my frustration is not being able to tell the difference between God’s voice and my own human conscience when I am seeking answers on how to get through my tough times. Last week, I spoke with a good friend of mine about my concerns and she told me that God told her to tell me (confused yet?) to seek Him, to get to know Him and who He is really is.

At first, I wasn’t sure where I should start. Just like everything else in my life, I sat on it for a few days to figure out what questions do I need to get answered to let me know who God is. If you are a new follower, please visit my blog post, Letting Go, Letting God where I described Jesus appearing to me when I was suicidal. When He told me to “seek Him”, it did not cross my mind that He wanted me to get to know Him intimately, but apparently, that is what He wants me to do and I shall obey. So, I wrote down 4 specific questions that I would like to share with you over the next couple of weeks once I find the answers to them.

My first question is, what other names does God go by?

If you have any other names to add to my list, please drop a comment below. It would be helping me out tremendously, as well as other bloggers who seek the same answers.

Thank you all so much for reading my thoughts. I appreciate each like, comment, and follow that I receive. I love you and I hope your day is as beautiful as you are.

God, of your goodness, give me Yourself; for You are sufficient for me. I cannot properly ask anything less to be worthy of You. If I were to ask less, I should always be in want. In You alone do I have all. -Julian of Norwich

  1. I don’t think there is a dictionary big enough to describe all of God’s names. I will say that personally, when I feel God is trying to talk to me or I feel the spiritual need to dig deeper or soul seek…I fast. I am more sensitive to his will and voice when I am in such a humble state.😊

  2. This thought is beautiful: not being able to tell the difference between god’s voice and human conscience. But then again, maybe our conscience speaks what God has taught.
I know you’ll get through it. Best of luck.
